「美甲粉專用棒」最大優點係個圓頭通常係偏軟身、較平滑嘅矽膠／橡膠質感，比一般海綿棒更適合做鏡面粉、極光粉、水光粉呢類需要「壓實＋拋光」嘅粉。

鏡面感會更實、更亮：圓頭可以用少少壓力來回磨擦，將粉壓貼喺甲面，鏡面效果通常會比用手指或鬆身海綿更均勻。
比較慳粉：表面唔似海綿咁吸粉，大部分粉都會落返甲面，尤其鏡面粉本身用量好少，差別幾明顯。
容易控制位置：細圓頭可以處理甲邊、甘皮附近、側邊位，亦適合做局部鏡面、漸變、法式效果。
減少指紋／油脂污染：唔需要直接用手指捽粉，避免手上油脂影響附著同鏡面效果。
唔會甩棉絮：相比棉花棒，唔會有纖維黐喺甲面，成品會乾淨好多。
可以重複使用：用完用酒精抹乾淨即可，長遠比一次性海綿棒方便。
力度較平均：圓弧形頭部貼合甲面，特別係有 C Curve 嘅甲面，較容易將粉擦得平均。
